This image is part of a larger series of photographs I took between 2014-2018. For this series, I visually focused on the encounter between humans and things in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas. I looked at these encounters in terms of the light that surrounds and connects us to and in the world--an embodied anthropocene. This “way of seeing” demanded both a multi-sensorial atonement to the world and an energetic sensing of the forces and things in the world—a muscular consciousness as it were. |
