Artist Statement
I am interested in the comparison between indigenous people, mainly women, and endangered plants from those same regions. Recently I have become interested in this relation in conversation with the colonizers of those same regions while pairing them with an invasive plant species from the country of the colonizers' origin. Although this development has become a part of my research and interests, I still am interested in working with Indigenous women as a power figure representing their own.
